On January 14-15, St. Pius X will be collecting hygiene items for Tumbleweed to distribute to homeless students and children who abruptly arrive in foster care without any personal possessions. The toiletry drive will be shared with St. Vincent DePaul and Period Pals 406 as well. SVDP creates hygiene kits and distributes them to those in need on a regular basis. Period Pals 406 collects feminine hygiene products which are then distributed for free through several non-profits in town. Items needed are listed here. Please, only new or unopened items.
- Travel or regular size toothpaste, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, razors, acne medication
- Feminine hygiene products, all types. For sanitary reasons we cannot collect or utilize items which are not individually wrapped within the original, unopened package.
- Socks for teens, women & men
- Foot powder
- Underwear of all sizes
